I look at dozens of photographers sites every week.

Most are static sites – meaning the photographer puts them together once, and makes very few additions over the course of the year. They usually have a lot of movement – a lot of Flash – and just a simple portfolio.

They may have up to 50 images, scattered across several portfolio galleries: weddings, commercial, portraits, business, etc.

In my opinion – and with what I have had success with – skip the Flash and go with small file sized images. And fill up your site with hundreds of photographs.

People want to see images. They want to see the work you’ve done, and put themselves in the place of your past customers.

If they see themselves in your images, you’ll get the phone call.

What’s you opinion?
