Thanks for your input - and I appreciate your viewpoints.

I agree, each of my ideas were short in nature, and had only a few sentences to give you an idea. My goal with this post is to get people unstuck. If you're sitting there wondering where the business is, and what you can do to generate anything, you need to get "unstuck". So my short idea list was to generate a new idea in your mind.

When I coach photographers, we go into indepth conversations, and spend hours sometimes talking about things in detail. I can't do that here with a simple blog post - I can only give you a 5 minute read that will hopefully generate some action in your life.

Not only have I been studying photography for years, I've also studied marketing for just as long. You can't be good at photography AND get paid for it if you don't study marketing equally. So I dedicate this blog to helping photographers understand the marketing side of what you need to do to create a Six Figure income from photography. I know from experience what works for me - not saying it will work for everyone. And I also know what works for other photographers, because I study and learn from other photographers daily.

If its here, you can better believe someone has "cracked" the code, and is being paid handsomely for it.

If you're looking for a quick buck, I agree none of this will work. But if you're building a strong business model, every one of these can help you do just that.

Good luck with your business.

I cant believe what I am reading! Please read your brainstorm before you publish it. What you have said is here are five ways I think you can get more business and I now going to stretch it out to 26 ways by rewriting those original 5! And what makes this article so bad is that those five ways have very limited results at the best of times!!!! for example:

1: writing letters is the most passive non call to action, easily ignored ways of getting in any where!!! an editor or client are busy people they are going to go "o that's nice, right put that in the bin" and that's if they even open the letter in the first place!

2:Networking, great! but very long term don't expect people to understand, want, or even give a damn until they have know you for a while otherwise your just the arty fart person of the group!

3:Stock Images: I'm sorry working for free or in the hope of selling is in my eyes not something we should be encouraging. and my personal app ion of stock image companies is that they are single handedly battery farming the photography industry, when as a industry we should be encouraging organic!

4:Writing an article, whats that going to do! Get bad feedback like this! last time I looked you where speaking to photographers not writers

I could go on!
But the only way your really going to get clients is to get in front of them, pick up the phone make an appointment and go a see them. Impress, and ask for the work. Its not hard, you just have to do it! that's all simple why make it hard!.
